Land Acknowledgment
The University of Minnesota Twin Cities is on the traditional homelands of the Dakota people. Minnesota comes from the Dakota name for this region, Mni Sota Makoce - the land with smoky or cloudy water.
We embrace the four seasons at the U of M on all three locations of campus!
