  ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
SUBMIT YOUR OFFICIAL ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS
A+ In order to verify the coursework and grades you self-reported at the time of application, the Office of Admissions must receive your official and complete academic documents from all secondary schools attended along with proof of high school graduation (i.e. graduation certificate or leaving exam results) by July 1.
         • All documents not issued in English must be in the original language and include a certified, true (word-for-word) English translation.
• Official documents are those that are original or are attested copies of original academic documents mailed in a sealed, stamped school envelope directly from the secondary school or examining board.
• A scanned or electronic copy of an official document is considered unofficial.
• Official and complete academic records and proof of high school graduation may include exam results
such as, but not limited to, IB, IGCSE, O/AS/A-level, WAEC, HKDSE, SPM, and CISCE/CBSE. Examples of official documents and the submission instructions can be found on the Office of Admissions website at z.umn.edu/officialdocs.
 Deadline Extension
If you are unable to submit the secondary school documents by the July 1 deadline, you must contact the Office of Admissions in advance. Your request must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Admissions.
Senior Year Grades Policy
Senior year courses and grades are very important, and are considered when making admission decisions. After complete academic records are received, we review each student’s senior year coursework and grades, and any applicable exam results, to confirm completion and that student’s performance during senior year is consistent with the academic performance at the time of application. Unsuccessful completion of senior year coursework and/or a significant decline in academic performance during senior year may result in the cancellation of admission.
“Successful completion” of coursework is defined as achieving grades consistent with or better than earlier terms on the academic transcripts and reports. Each year, there are cases where admission is rescinded based on significant declines in senior year grades. If you are making significant changes to your senior year courses, or are experiencing declining grades in any of your courses, you must consult with the Office of Admissions at 1-800-752-1000 or 1-612-625-2008, or z.umn.edu/contactadmissions.
    SUBMIT YOUR OFFICIAL TEST SCORES
Any test scores self-reported (ACT, SAT, English proficiency) during the application process must be verified as official prior to enrolling. Test scores must match the highest reported score on your Self-Reported Academic Record, and must be received by the Office of Admissions by July 1. Please request that your test scores be sent to our office directly from the testing agency.
A scanned or electronic copy of an official test score report is not considered as official results. The July 1 submission deadline cannot be extended. We strongly recommend that you request your official test scores be sent as soon as you confirm your admission. The Office of Admissions’ address can be found on the last page of this document.
IMPORTANT: For students who do not submit the necessary documents by the deadline, or if altered, modified, or falsified documents are submitted, admission will be rescinded, the I-20 will be cancelled, and the student will NOT be allowed to enroll at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
