WHAT’S NEXT?
CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT
When you confirm your enrollment, you are declaring your intent to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and we will hold a place for you in the incoming class. Confirm your enrollment online at z.umn.edu/confirm.
The website will prompt you to confirm your enrollment and pay your non-refundable $95 confirmation fee using a credit card.
Interested in postponing your enrollment?
If you decide to postpone your first semester of enrollment for any reason, please contact the Office of Admissions by email at admissions@umn.edu, or by phone at 1-612-625-2008 or 1-800-752-1000, so that we may consider your application for a later semester.
SUBMIT YOUR UNDERGRADUATE NEW STUDENT I-20 REQUEST
All international students studying on an F-1 student visa are required to submit an Undergraduate New Student I-20 Request at z.umn.edu/I-20Request_NewUndergrad, as soon as possible, but no later than December 15, 2021.
The Undergraduate New Student I-20 Request is required not only to obtain an I-20 and
F-1 visa, but also to transfer your I-20 and F-1 visa status from your current U.S. school to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. More information is available at isss.umn.edu/new.
ARRANGE HOUSING
Be sure to make housing arrangements prior to arriving on campus. For complete information about the various housing options available, please visit the University’s Housing & Residential Life website at www.housing.umn.edu/international. Everything you need to know about on-campus, off-campus, and temporary housing for those who will arrive in the U.S. prior to the beginning of the semester is available on this website. On-campus housing is limited.
If you need to secure off-campus housing, you should arrive approximately three weeks prior to the start of classes so you have sufficient time to search for housing.
