MULTICULTURAL CENTER FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE (MCAE)
MCAE is a campus-wide resource that promotes an inclusive atmosphere to foster and enrich multicultural understanding among all members of the U of M community. MCAE’s commitment to creating such a climate is driven by a student-first culture, in which students are the highest priority.
MCAE also offers six Living Learning Communities (LLCs) that have four core educational support priorities for residents: sense of belonging, self-efficacy, academic support, and navigating a predominantly white
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AND SCHOLAR SERVICES (ISSS)
ISSS cultivates an inclusive community by providing expertise and leadership with compassion to prepare international students to meet complex challenges in a diverse, interconnected, multiracial, multicultural world. ISSS also provides advising, counseling, programs, and advocacy for international students and scholars to strengthen connections and understanding that advance campus internationalization and enrich the academic experience of all.

VETERANS RESOURCE OFFICE
The Veterans Resource Office is a one-stop service destination for students and family members of veterans and current members of the military. The office provides academic support and a gathering place for those who serve in the military. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS)
DPS is committed to partnering with our campus community to ensure students, faculty, staff and visitors are safe. DPS has three departments dedicated to campus safety.
• The Public Safety Emergency Communications Center (PSECC) is a 911 dispatch and monitoring center.
• University Security is a uniformed security department that focuses on safety escorts and providing security services.
• University of Minnesota Police Department is a state licensed police department.
