INTERNATIONAL STUDENT INFORMATION
STUDENT PRE-ARRIVAL GUIDE
After you confirm your enrollment and submit your Undergraduate New Student I-20 Request form, you will receive a link to the online International Student Pre-Arrival Guide. Staff members from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) will assist you as you prepare to arrive on campus, and work with you after your arrival in Minnesota.

PREPARATION COURSE (ONLINE)
Prior to arrival, all new international students are required to complete the International Student Preparation Course.
Created with significant student input, this course provides timely and valuable information as you prepare to attend the University of Minnesota. The course is avaiaible at isss.umn.edu/new.
ISSS CHECK-IN
Complete your ISSS Check-in through MyISSS as soon as possible after you arrive at the UMN.
U.S. government regulations require that all new
F-1 and J-1 international students report their arrival, or “check in,” with the university upon arrival.
