Multidisciplinary Studies
The Multidisciplinary Studies (MdS) program offers interdisciplinary,
individually designed BA and BS degrees that provide returning students with the opportunity to engage with a broad scope of University educational resources. MdS students work closely with advising staff to develop a program that draws from the course offerings of the University of Minnesota’s colleges and departments. Students complete course work in three of five defined areas of emphasis: Applied, Technical, and Professional; Arts and Humanities; Communication; History and Social Sciences; Science and Health Science.
