CEGE’s Graduate Student Collaboration and Office
Space (GSCOS) serves 90 graduate students each
year. Located on the seventh floor, room 780 features
18 graduate student offices around the perimeter
of a large, flexible room. A conference room and
kitchenette complete the GSCOS.
A renovation of the space is in process. Our goal is
to make the GSCOS an inviting, creative space for
socializing, studying, collaborating, holding meetings
and seminars, exchanging ideas, eating a meal, and
delivering doctoral and thesis defenses. We know that
great spaces are more than just bricks and mortar.
Done well, they allow students to thrive and do their
best work.
Matching Grant
Thanks to a generous CEGE alumni benefactor, we
have a $50,000 challenge match available for gifts
made to renovate this space. Gifts of $2,500 or more
will be acknowledged on a plaque. Contact Shannon
