Dear Graduates,
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education
and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, let me first and foremost say CONGRATULATIONS! We are here today to celebrate your major achievement with your families, friends, and fellow students.
As your journey continues—here in Minnesota, across the nation, or around the globe—you will surely impact others as they in turn will impact you. I wish for you amazing opportunities, great friendships, and a future of possibilities.
As you go forth in your chosen fields, remember learning is a lifelong opportunity. I hope you will apply what you have discovered during your time here with us and also stay open to growing from everyone and everything in the days and years to come. It is this continuous process of discovery and growth that allows us to best use our gifts to improve lives and to appreciate fully the greatest gift of all—the gift of learning.
CEHD is proud of you. I am particularly excited to see how you make a difference as a member of CEHD alumni. And don’t consider this a farewell. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you as a lifelong member of CEHD and the University of Minnesota community.
