Community Engagement Scholars Program
Maryana Al Tobi, special education; Mara Bowman, elementary education foundations; Erin Meyers, elementary education foundations; Sarah Schulz, elementary education foundations; and Molly Sparrow, elementary education foundations, will receive the Community Engagement Scholars Program distinction.
The University of Minnesota award recognizes undergraduate students for outstanding community contributions. To be eligible, students must have completed at least eight credits of service-learning coursework, at least 400 hours of community service, and a series of reflective pieces. They also must have completed an integrative community engagement project that results in the creation of a sustainable project for a community organization.
