Page 2 - Impact Fall 2024
P. 2

Hello from CFANS! Fall semester
is in full swing, and we are
energized by the promise
of a new academic year and the
many achievements of our CFANS
community. In this issue of Impact,
I’m delighted to share some inspiring
stories about a variety of happenings
across our College.
You won’t want to miss the
feature on CFANS researchers across
departments who are leading the
fight against invasive species on land
and in our waters, work that is vital
to protecting our natural ecosystems.
We’re also spotlighting the outstanding
accomplishments of students and
alumni, including experiential summer
internships for undergraduates, and
a CFANS graduate who is turning her
Environmental Sciences, Policy and
Management (ESPM) major into a
career in environmental law.
None of this would be possible
without you. Through your contributions
of time, expertise, and resources, you
empower us to continue our mission of
advancing science in food, agriculture,
and natural resources, developing the
next generation of leaders, and driving
innovation that benefits Minnesota
and the world. Thank you for standing
by us, and for helping CFANS grow
and thrive.
Here’s to a fantastic fall and
continued success in all that we
do together!
Warm regards,
Brian Buhr

and Natural Resource Sciences
