Cell Signaling and Tumorigenesis
SECTION LEADER / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
“Our section is concerned with the molecular mechanisms by which oncogenic signaling regulates tumorigenesis, with the ultimate goal
of developing and improving existing therapeutic approaches
to eliminate cancer.”

Our section is concerned with the molecular genetics. We employ two experienced post-doctoral
mechanisms by which oncogenic signaling
regulates tumorigenesis, with the ultimate goal of developing and improving existing thera- peutic approaches to eliminate cancer. As part of the University of Minnesota and a member of the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota (MCC), have and will continue to collaborate with worldwide experts in the fields of cell signaling, cancer research comparative pathology and
fellows, Florina Grigore, M.D., Igor Entin, Ph.D., and Nick Hanson, a technician. Despite what has truly been an annus horribilis due to the global pain, death, and disruption resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic, we have made significant progress in our research on melanoma and pediatric brain tumors, and we are developing novel tools to study how SARS-CoV-2 spike protein mediates entry into cells.
