 MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
This past year at The Hormel Institute has been one of tremendous growth as we’ve begun to
lay the foundation for continued achievement and progress with one vision in mind – to inspire discoveries that improve and extend human life. It has been exciting to help build the bridge of where we have been and where we would like
to go. We are taking the tremendous history of research excellence and becoming one of the best institutes in the world.
In accepting the position of Executive Director,
I could see the opportunity in this unique situation – a beautiful new center with research experts poised for further growth, world class partners in The Hormel Foundation, University of Minnesota,
and Mayo Clinic, as well as its location in a welcoming community. It is a place where research can flourish to benefit people globally and friendships can be made through a community that is open and supportive.
After getting to know some of you this past year, I now know the opportunity for “what can be” is truly limitless. Please enjoy reading about some of the achievements that have taken place over the past year and know there is much more yet to come.
Thank you for your truly generous support and kind friendship.
