                    THE VALUES AND IDENTITY OF AN ORGANIZATION. New leadership started with a culture initiative understanding of where The Hormel Institute has been and where it wants to grow in research, in University of Minnesota collaborations,
in leadership development and in establishing its defining values - how to work together to best achieve a supportive workplace and the important goals of world class research. Four teams and nearly 35 employees worked for nine months on the project to build a culture foundation to “Inspire Discoveries that Improve and Extend Human Life.”
                 STRATEGIC PLAN
With innovative cancer and biomedical research at the core, The Hormel Institute is strategically aligning the organization, both internally and externally, to strengthen and expand its biomedical research impact. Work is underway to develop strategies for results – results measured in meaningful discoveries, effective and efficient collaborations, and growing support from like-minded partners who understand the important role of science as a path to improve the world.
These strategies will aim to drive alignment and synergy across The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic, and worldwide collaborators reflecting those same goals within our community, all while being sustainable, scalable, and adaptable. A growing number of expert researchers and staff continue to join The Hormel Institute to help us advance our goal of becoming a leading national and international biomedical research center, where meaningful discoveries are accelerated.
