 Research Facilities Management

Over the past year, our department has continued to tackle the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. From re-opening our conference rooms and auditorium, to maximizing our space to accommodate many new staff members, we have been working hard to get our facility operating at full capacity again. To keep
up with the growing Institute, we have added two people to our department. Our goal is to keep our facility at an efficient level of operating while performing most of the maintenance and repairs in-house. Our team continues to work closely with the Institute’s scientists to ensure their workspace meets their needs. We also recently installed six electric car charging stations in our parking lot to accommodate and encourage the use of environmentally- friendly electric vehicles.

  Finance

The Finance Department budgets, reviews, managers, reports, forecasts, and advises on financial data for both internal and external shareholders. Our goal is to ensure organized, accurate, and timely reporting to our shareholders. This past year, we added two finance professionals to the team. One works with general finance bookkeeping and reporting. The other is focused on grant post award monitoring and reporting. Both of these positions were critical hires for our department as the Institute continues its growth towards excellence in scientific research. As our team continues to grow, we are focused on creating internal and external sales structures, improving our processes, and making accurate and informed financial decisions.
