Welcome to the Minnesota Justice Foundation’s 2020 Annual Awards Celebration!
THANK YOU for joining us to celebrate the contributions of our award winners toward access to justice for all. We selected six awardees from a pool of very qualified candidates, all of whom demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono and public interest work. In addition to our typical six awards, this year we will also honor the work of a group of students who volunteered to help people who were incarcerated during the pandemic secure conditional medical release.
Later in this program book you’ll find information about our 2020 Summer Fellowship Program. We had nineteen fellows this summer and, with appropriate safety adaptations, they all were able to carry out their fellowships. Thank you to the donors who made that program possible. This financial support has a dual role of providing formative public interest law experiences for students and building the capacity of our host agencies to serve more clients while the fellows are there.
We hope that you enjoy the program and that it inspires you to continue to work toward access to justice for all during this time of great need.
