Led by our world-class faculty, research teams conduct groundbreaking and critical research in the Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology. Faculty research programs focus on oncology, transplantation, infectious diseases, pharmacogenomics, geriatrics, critical care, neuroscience, cardiovascular diseases, pediatrics, and psychiatry, among other areas. ECP is home to the Lawrence C. Weaver Endowed Chair in Orphan Drug Development and the VFW Endowed Chair in Pharmacotherapy for the Elderly. In addition, ECP’s state-of-the-art, CLIA-certified Clinical Pharmacology Analytical Services Laboratory has provided an important research resource to both University researchers and external customers for more than fifteen years.
