SUPPORT
Tutoring - The University of Minnesota Twin Cities offers tutoring support for over 250 subject areas including math, science, and writing. Tutoring helps students develop academic study skills and confidence needed to succeed in their courses.
Academic Advising - You will work closely with academic advisors throughout your time on campus - whether you need help planning courses, discovering
the perfect learning abroad program, or finding an internship, we are here for you!
Center for Academic Planning and Exploration (CAPE)
Undecided on which of the 150+ majors is right for you? CAPE is designed to help students explore their interests and make informed, self-determined choices about their academic plan. For more information on all CAPE has to offer visit cape.umn.edu.
HONORS PROGRAM
The University Honors Program (UHP) provides enriched opportunities within each of the U of M freshman colleges, creating a program of shared passions, creative collaboration, and intellectual and cultural diversity.
Students whose admission applications are complete by the Early Action Deadline (November 1), Early Action II (December 1), or the Regular Deadline (January 1) will receive full consideration for the University Honors Program. Students who apply after these deadlines
will be considered on a space-available basis. Students admitted into the University Honors Program will be notified by the end of March 2023.
YOUR PROFESSORS
At the U of M, your education won’t come exclusively from a textbook; your college experience will be enhanced by award-winning faculty who are discovering new knowledge every day. Your professors will include Nobel Prize winners, National Academy of Sciences members, the Institute of Medicine members, American Academy
of Arts and Sciences members, and published authors or patent holders.
YOUR RESEARCH
Professors are not the only people at the U of M who
are pushing the boundaries of knowledge; one of the
best benefits of a major university is the opportunity to conduct research as an undergraduate student. By pairing up one-on-one with a faculty mentor, you can explore your interests through projects and experiments you design

YOUR CLASSROOMS
As a pioneering leader in designing classrooms and curricula that gets students engaged, the U of M’s active- learning classrooms use technology to foster connections and teamwork. And “state of the art” isn’t limited to
the classroom. You will experience sophistication and technology throughout campus. For example:
• Music students practice and perform in the only all-Steinway school in the Big Ten.
• Physics students conduct pioneering research with experts from around the world in the U of M’s underground neutrino lab in Northern Minnesota.
• Nursing students become future health professionals in the state-of-the-art Health Sciences Education Center.
• Journalism students use cutting-edge equipment in broadcast studios and editing labs.
• Agricultural and natural resources students utilize 160 acres of land, located on-campus, for ground- breaking crop, environment, and soil research.
