EXPLORE THE TWIN CITIES
The University of Minnesota campus is located between Minneapolis and St. Paul (also known as the Twin Cities).
As one of the only Big Ten universities within a short distance to a dynamic city, students benefit from all
that the city has to offer. The Twin Cities offer endless opportunities for you to explore outside of the classroom. Check out all it has to offer at z.umn.edu/GreatLocation.
FOUR SEASONS
Minnesota enjoys the full scope of all four seasons. You can paddleboard in the summer, pick apples in the fall, cross-country ski in the winter, and bike the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway in the spring. No matter what season it is, there are plenty of places to enjoy
it near campus; from the Mississippi River, to six state parks, and a National Wildlife Refuge - all within the Twin Cities metro area!
Did you know? The Center for Outdoor Adventure at the University of Minnesota has rental equipment for students. From camping gear, bikes, canoes, snowshoes, and so much more, you will have all that you need to take advantage of each season.
YOU’LL LOVE YOUR
NEIGHBORS
If you want to explore a new culture—or connect with your own—you’re in luck. When you live in the Twin Cities, you’ll be minutes away from Somali, Latino, American Indian, and Hmong communities, just to name a few. So come ready to check out the Dragon Boat Festival, Minnesota Qeej Festival, or the Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s annual Wacipi.
