We welcomed Gaagige Aanakwadikwe, our new Native American
Initiatives Education Specialist, who is a member of the Bad River
Band of Ojibwe in Wisconsin. She will play a critical role as we
adapt some of our K-12 and community programming to be more
inclusive and reflective of Native perspectives and Indigenous
knowledge, as well as to create new programmatic content and
experiences. This work will take time and will be done in consulta-
tion with Ojibwe and Dakota community elders and knowledge
keepers, other partners, and with Bell staff across departments.
The Bell Museum is now welcoming Scout Groups!
This year we launched a pilot program for Scout groups of 15 or more to provide
a Bell Museum experience that can help them earn their space badge! Since it
launched in July, 46 Girl Scout troops, engaging 1,150 Girl Scouts have already
signed up to participate.
