The ExploraDome is back on the road
after a three-year hiatus.
A favorite of kids across the state, our portable planetarium travels throughout
Minnesota and is perfect for classes, school fairs, and community events.
ExploraDome programs range from journeys through the universe and all the way
back to Earth in explorations of seasons, climate, and even the human brain! This year
alone it reached nearly 11,000 kids and teachers! The ExploraDome now has the same
technology and a new projector, allowing the Bell Museum to bring anything on-view
in the Whitney & Elizabeth MacMillan Planetarium to every county in the state!
On October 14 we celebrated Minnesota’s partial view
of the annular eclipse. Throughout the day nearly 1,000
visitors enjoyed solar observation with eclipse glasses
and solar telescopes as well as special activities.

This is so engaging for students.
My class was excited and on task
the entire time. It is amazing
for them to be able to see these
concepts we are learning up
close. Loved it! – T E AC HER
