MAJORS& MINORS
CBS majors let you do a deep dive in an area of particular interest from molecules to ecosystems.
The college offers eight majors. Here’s a little bit about each one.
BIOCHEMISTRY
Study the molecules that make up living things, from proteins and nucleic acids to lipids and carbohydrates.
BIOLOGY
Develop a strong foundation in the fundamental nature and characteristics of living things.
CELLULAR AND ORGANISMAL PHYSIOLOGY
Learn all about the biological systems at every scale by drawing on biochemistry, genetics, physics and more.
ECOLOGY, EVOLUTION AND BEHAVIOR Investigate a range of topics from evolutionary adaptations of plants and animals to the role of biodiversity in ecosystems.
