NATURE OF LIFE
Connecting with peers and faculty starts well before your first day of classes.
Nature of Life is a one-of-a-kind program that builds a sense
of community and provides a support system for students
in their first two years in the college. This starts the summer before your first year with a trip to the college’s Itasca Biological Station in the heart of iconic Itasca State Park. The program continues back on campus where you’ll join a guild named after a noteworthy biologist with a connection to CBS. Your guild will keep you connected and provide vital resources to help you navigate decision points along the way.

The first day of fall semester can be daunting, but finding fellow CBS students is easy! Just look for the maroon-and-gold tie-dyed shirts! Incoming students receive them at Nature of Life.
