“As the faculty advisor and First Past
President of ASCE MN, I view the student chapter as one of the essential cores of ASCE simply because our students are the future of the civil engi- neering profession. Over the years, the student chapter has served as an invalu- able avenue connecting our students with civil engineering professionals.
Through many well-organized educational and outreach programs and student conferences, the chapter has provided a unique plat- form for nurturing our students to be the future leaders of ASCE. I am extremely proud of our student chapter, which has made long-lasting contributions to ASCE and our profession at large.”
— Jia-Liang Le, Associate Professor, Faculty Adviser to ASCE UMN Student Chapter, First Past President of ASCE-MN
