PROGRAM UPDATE AND CELEBRATION :
Spring has arrived on
campus, and it brings an opportunity to celebrate
the hard work of the past
year. Within the Agricultural Education, Communication & Marketing (AECM) program, we are constantly proud of
our students, alumni, peers, and institution. However, this Spring, we get to celebrate an especially noteworthy round of recognition for the people who make our program a place of growth and innovation.
In April, the Borealis Night
of Excellence honored undergraduate student Emilee Xayanourom (BS, Agricultural Education, ’24), who was the recipient of the Borealis Student Leadership award, and alum Ethan Dado (BS, Agricultural Communication and Marketing & Animal Science, ‘18; MS,
Agricultural Education, ‘19), who received the Borealis Rising Star award. Both leaders have created a stronger community on and off campus with their engagement and commitment. In May, our college recognized excellence in teaching within the AECM classrooms. Dr.
Troy McKay received the CFANS Distinguished Faculty Undergraduate Teaching award, Greta Tank received
the CFANS Distinguished Academic (P&A) Staff award, and Dr. Jeffrey Stamp received the CFANS Pioneering and Innovation award. Nominations from faculty, students, and alumni describe the dedication and creativity used within
their classrooms to create relevant and valuable learning experiences.
