The Agricultural Education, Communication and Marketing Club is the oldest club on the St. Paul Campus and is open to anyone and everyone interested in Agricultural Education, Communication and Marketing and FFA; you don’t have to be an Agricultural Education or Agricultural Communication and Marketing major. We work with the Minnesota FFA Association and host a Fall and Winter Invitational, as well as assist with the State Convention in the spring. The club networks with other colleges across the state and maintains relationships with agricultural companies and alumni. Our new officer team took over at the beginning of the semester. So far this semester the AECM club has held multiple events. On February 28th, 2024
we went to a Timberwolves game against the Grizzlies where the TImberwolves
won! Additionally, we had a professional
panel during our March meeting where alumni, Ethan Dado, Harley Braun, and Lauren Servick answered questions about the AECM industry. The AECM Club also hosts the State FFA Convention Pizza Feed in collaboration with NAMA. This year we served over 1,100 FFA members from around the state! With the end of the academic year the club’s work is not done. During the summer members will have the opportunity to travel to Kansas City, Missouri to attend the 2024 Ag Media Summit as part of the National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow organization. In addition, during the MN State Fair the AECM Club manages the All You Can Drink Milk stand. Our club
is busier than ever and provides endless opportunities to network and get involved. Look us up on Instagram and follow us on Facebook @UMNAECM.club.
