On-Campus Recruiting (OCR)
These are positions that our recruiting partners post specifically to recruit Carlson School students. Approximately 100 companies come to our campus annually to interview for full-time and internship positions. Talk to a Career Coach to learn more about the timing of OCR opportunities for your search and check TalentLink often for deadlines.
Job Postings
Similar to OCR opportunities, these positions are posted by partner companies looking to recruit Carlson School students and alumni. However, the recruiting process takes place outside the GBCC and interviews are held off-campus.
Company Information Sessions and Events
Company information sessions and events are excellent opportunities for you to make initial contact with a company representative. At information sessions, individuals from the company will present an overview of the organization and provide specific information about jobs and/or internships for which they are recruiting. Companies often use these events to gauge interest by your class and by individual students, so attendance is recorded. If the session is intended for a specific audience, it will be noted in TalentLink. Otherwise, all interested students are welcome and encouraged to attend the sessions.
Site Visits and Treks
The GBCC organizes, plans, and schedules site visits in the Twin Cities and treks across the country throughout the year to help connect students with specific organizations to get a better idea of their culture, facilities, and employees. Treks are a great way to get a feel for specific cities and help connect with contacts and alumni in those designated regions. Check TalentLink Events and the GBCC newsletters for more information.
