 I graduated from one of the top engineering schools in Pakistan with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering;
I went to work for the United Nations Development Program as a district engineer. There, I led rural infrastructure development programs in partnership
with community leaders and elected officials. During this time, my frequent use of engineering software increased my interest in learning how technology enables business processes. I decided to pursue a Master in Computer Science at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. As I was finishing my coursework, I joined UnitedHealth Group as a software engineer and I was promoted three times in two years. While at UnitedHealth, I enrolled in the Part- Time MBA program at the Carlson School to enhance my business acumen. In order to hone my leadership and client relationship building skills, I joined Deloitte Consulting in 2004. My key accomplishments at Deloitte included the formulation of technology strategy for a major health plan and successful implementation of business process and system integration for a major health provider. I’m really excited about the position we are discussing today as it provides a unique opportunity to combine my technology background and business skills in a global organization.
 I am an MBA student with a focus on marketing. Prior to business school, I worked for Coca Cola where I conducted focus group research that contributed to the successful launch of Vanilla Coke. I am now looking to apply my education and experience to a research position with a consumer-oriented financial services company such as American Express, Visa, or Charles Schwab.
  I was a commercial loan officer prior to business school. Getting involved in Net Impact this year has really inspired me to leverage my banking experience to help women in developing countries, so I am looking for opportunities at microfinance organizations.
@An Interview
 After graduating from the University of Illinois with an economics degree, I worked for three years as a national account manager for a consumer products firm, managing the relationship with Best Buy, one of the firm’s largest clients. The position required coordinating the supply chain process. In one project, I led the team to reduce inventory by 10 percent annually while increasing the timely manufacturing and delivery of our products into stores. That multimillion dollar IT project became a model for how to help other clients reduce inventory costs and increase sales. I particularly enjoy understanding customers’ informational needs and communicating with technical professionals to create solutions.
@A Formal Networking Event
 I previously worked in investment banking at Lehman Brothers. What I liked most was the client service aspect of my job. As a result, I am exploring other client service focused fields, such as investor relations, consulting, and investment management for high net worth individuals.
