 Class of 2022 celebrated their commencement ceremony May 13.
   Hats off! The School of Dentistry celebrated 198 graduates in dental hygiene, dental therapy, DDS, residency programs and oral biology on May 13, 2022. Amber Cziok, DDS ’06, keynote speaker, reflected on the grand accomplishments of this class and encouraged them to be open to change. “You will change people, and people will change you,” she said. “I encourage you to strive to propagate positive change in the world, and give of your time and talents through your chosen discipline, professional involvement and everyday life.”
   Learners got to know each other at orientation.
In-person orientation

learners for the first fully in-
person orientation experi-
ence since the beginning of
the COVID-19 pandemic this
August. Dean Keith Mays, DDS,
MS, PhD, welcomed learners to
their professional lives. “You are
an important part of the overall
team that keeps people healthy,”
he said. “There are people who need you.” In addition to hearing introductions and information from faculty and staff, learners got to know current students, took tours of Moos Tower and engaged in teambuilding activities.
