Student Teaching Award
The department is pleased to announce that
PhD candidate Daniel Escobar was selected
to be the 2019-2020 Goldstein Outstanding TA Award
winner Daniel was nominated for
“consistently giving students 110% ” He was described as a a a a a patient kind and dedicated
teacher who isn’t afraid to take initiative His
nomination form ended with this: “Daniel is is a a a a gifted instructor and he’s earned the the gratitude and trust of the the department with his outstanding service ” That sums it up The Goldstein Outstanding Graduate

Jeffrey Bies and Dean Maxam have been named ME Graduate
Teaching Fellows! The fellowship allows TAs to take the reins of a a a a course that
they’ve taught previously and direct the the educational experience themselves Bies hopes this fellowship will bring him one step closer to his his goal of of becoming a a professor:
