   Pharmacology MATTERS
 GIVE to PHARMACOLOGY
Financial gifts to the Department of Pharmacology allow us to hire and support new faculty, recognize our trainees with research awards, provide travel fellowships that enable trainee participation at scientific conferences, and purchase and maintain shared laboratory equipment. We are grateful for contributions that support these and other aspects of our mission. If you find yourself in a position to give this year, please consider donating to one of the following charitable funds that support the Department of Pharmacology and/or our Graduate Program:
PHARMACOLOGY BASIC SUPPORT FUND
This fund provides general support for our educational, graduate training, and research programs.
CENTER FOR CORONAVIRUS RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA FUND
This fund supports the mission of the Center's research, which is to investigate the infection mechanisms of coronaviruses and to develop diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic strategies against coronavirus infections.
BEN G. ZIMMERMAN FELLOWSHIP IN INTEGRATIVE PHARMACOLOGY
This fund is used to provide travel fellowships in the name of Ben G. Zimmerman, given to graduate students and postdoctoral scientists who employ integrative pharmacology approaches in their research.
TIM & JERI WALSETH PHARMACOLOGY EQUIPMENT FUND
This fund is used for the purchase, maintenance, and service of shared equipment in the Department of Pharmacology.
Key goals for our philanthropic efforts over the next decade are to create endowed chairs that will aid in the recruitment and retention of high-achieving faculty, and to establish scholarships and research fellowships to support exceptional graduate students and postdoctoral scientists in Pharmacology. If you are interested in contributing to these initiatives, or if you would like to learn more about options for giving, please contact the University of Minnesota Foundation by email or phone (800-775-2187 or 612-624-3333). All gifts are processed by UMF and are tax-deductible. No gift is too small, and all are greatly appreciated.
