THE ENTHUSIAST Hally
My favorite thing
about being an AECM ambassador is being able to connect with potential new students to share about the amazing program at the University of Minnesota. Being able to share my experiences and answering questions
is always very rewarding. I decided to apply to be an
AECM ambassador because I have a true passion for the program. I am currently double majoring in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communication and Marketing which gives me insight on both sides of the program. My role as an ambassador has allowed me to learn more about the AECM program, faculty, classes, etc.
One of the most note-worthy events/experiences I have had while being an AECM ambassador was working with high school students from the Twin Cities and introducing them to different aspects of the agriculture industry.
One of the biggest things I wish prospective Gophers knew about the AECM program and CFANS as a whole is the difference between St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. I think the idea of “Big Ten, Small Campus” is very telling and true. The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities has endless opportunities, and has the ability to be whatever students want it to be. There are endless internship opportunities in the Twin Cities when it comes to AECM and CFANS also has a strong alumni network to help students navigate through the professional world.
