CAREER ROAD MAP
 Full-time MBA Students | YEAR 1
 SUMMER BEFORE (JUNE-JULY)
Convert resume into Carlson format, update LinkedIn profile
Apply to and attend any pre-MBA events
Begin exploring careers by researching career options and personal networking
Complete all GBCC pre-work by orientation
    DECEMBER
Begin drafting cover letters for OCR opportunities
Gain additional experience by applying for Graduate Volunteer Consulting (GVC) positions
If consulting, actively practicing casing skills in a variety of settings (see coach for details).
Participate in mock interview with Carlson alumni
Review upcoming resume drop deadlines
Continue interview prep including small group sessions, peer practice, and coaching appointments
Launch off-campus internship search via external job postings and personal network
Complete OCR interviews
Attend Internship Search Outside of OCR session (if applicable)
Continue networking and informational interviews two to three per week
Apply for MBAA club leadership opportunities for next school year
Record any and all internship offers in TalentLink
If still seeking:
• Refer to info from February Internship Search session
• Continue to practice interviewing • See coach twice a month
Update resume with enterprise and project info
