Holiday Break is a great time to set up networking meetings and informational interviews if you are still looking for internships
Don't forget to keep checking TalentLink over the holidays for job postings
On-campus interviews resume. Note: Most companies come to campus in the fall, so there will be far fewer opportunities in the spring
Make sure that your resume is up-to-date with any volunteer projects, case competitions, fall internships, etc.
Practice your interview skills in a Small Group Interview Practice session to ensure that your skills stay sharp
Attend Career Fair Preparation Workshop and participate in the U of MN Job and Internship Fair (if applicable)
Keep an eye out for the GBCC workshop on Job Search Strategy Outside of On-Campus Recruiting
Make sure that you are checking TalentLink and other job boards frequently as many companies will start just-in-time hiring this month
Attend GBCC Workshop on Making the Most of Your Internship
If you do not have an internship by April, be sure that you are working regularly with a GBCC coach
Consider "creating" your own internship experience with a local non-profit or
small organization

with the GBCC during the summer
During your internship, be sure to document key projects, accomplishments, roles, and responsibilities

local non-profit (Optional, but strongly encouraged for students with little HR experience)
Complete all pre-work for participation in Career Essentials
Plan to arrive to campus early in order to participate in International Student Orientation
Attend Career Essentials and Career Exploration Conference (last week in August)
Attend Company Information Sessions
Be checking TalentLink regularly to search for internship and full-time opportunities, and submit your resume to apply
Practice your interview skills in a Small Group Interview Practice session
Attend Resumania! for a resume review
Participate in the Mock Marathon, or complete a one-on-one mock interview with a coach
First day of on-campus interviewing (last week in September)
Majority of first round interviews occur in the GBCC
Get involved with the Graduate Volunteer Consultants (strongly encouraged for students with less work experience)
Majority of second round interviews occur
