ATHLETICS BULLDOG COUNTRY
Bulldog Athletics prides itself on its commitment to the Classroom, Competition and Community.
UMD is home to 16 varsity athletic teams, including Division I men’s and women’s hockey programs along with 14 Division II teams.
The University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Intercollegiate Athletics continues to maintain one of the most competitive and well-balanced sports programs of its size in the country.
Be a Part of Bulldog Country
The Bulldogs are also proud to welcome all UMD students to its home events
as part of Bulldog Country. UMD student tickets are FREE of charge to all on-campus events, as well as women’s hockey. The Bulldogs provide a signifi- cant discount on men’s hockey season tickets on an individual game and sea- son basis as part of the official student group of Bulldog hockey, The Penalty Box. The Bulldogs also provide shuttles to the UMD men’s hockey games at Amsoil Arena from the UMD bus hub on campus, free of charge.

The Bulldogs have claimed 10 team national champion- Bulldog Pride ships and 9 individual national championships. We also
boast numerous Olympians and professional athletes.
