 Admissions
At the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, we are looking for learners who are committed to hard work, diversity and improving oral health. Application requirements vary by program.
  A Holistic Perspective of Applicants
When you apply to the School of Dentistry, we take a holistic approach to reviewing your application, looking at more than just your GPA, DAT scores and other metrics. We also look at applicants’ research, work and leadership experience, as well as your extracurricular and community involvement. This might include organizational involvement, athletics, music and more. We also look at your exposure to the dental field, including work, shadow, volunteer and intern experience. Finally, we consider volunteer
experience, letters of recommendation, essay responses, applicant demographics and interest. All these factors come together to show us the whole picture of who you will be as a School of Dentistry student.
DDS Admissions
The School of Dentistry uses the ADEA Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) Application, including supplemental questions. Your application includes a non- refundable application processing fee of $85.
