IBP Accelerator and Ignitor Awards
Two new pilot programs have been launched to enhance IBP research successes in obtaining NIH funding. These merit-driven programs provide flexible research dollars to enhance the re- search programs: IBP NIH Grant Accelerator Program and IBP NIH Grant Igniter Program. An additional goal of these programs is to increase number of IBP NIH grants and the national ranking for IBP. Over 1 Million dollars in funding has been infused into the IBP research programs via these awards.
Zooma Cardio Palooza 12
Zooma Cardio Palooza 12 was held on July 28th in an in-person and virtual format with over 60 attendees. Faculty speakers were Drs. Rajat Kalra, Sergey Gurevich, Julia Liu and Eric Batchelor. A faculty panel selected post doctoral fellows to present their research and in fitting with the Olympic theme the gold medal was awarded to Sasha Prisco, silver medal to Neha Dhoke, and bronze medal to Gyeoung-Jin Kang. Congratulations medalists and we hope to see the cardiovascular community in-person for the event in 2022.
