   EMILYN ALEJANDRO PROMOTION
Dr. Emilyn Alejandro was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure on June 21, 2021. Emilyn received her B.S. from the University of Washington (2002) and her Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia (2010). Dr. Alejandro is a highly talented and motivated researcher with excellence in the metabolism/diabetes field. She mentors undergraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral trainees. She has a national and international reputation evidenced by speaking invitations, service on conference planning com- mittees and an editorial board and invitations to serve on NIH study sections and NIH CSR Council. She was awarded McKnight Land-Grant Professorship in 2019 and McKnight Presidential Fellow in 2021.
