As part of the award-winningHealthPartners integrated healthcare system, we have access to extensive resources and collaborative opportunities that help us better serve our patients.Our dedicated staff has engaged with the community, maintaining a strong commitment to education and the ongoing improvement of our department. This year, we cared for over 100,000 patients, adapting to their needs through innovative approaches and ensuring high-quality care for everyone.Key innovations include:%u2022 Hospital at Home: A program allowing patients to receive hospital care at home, reducing congestion and improving outcomes.%u2022 Expansion of Community Paramedics: More personalized, preventative care in the community.%u2022 Embedded Palliative Care Physician: A palliative care physician embedded within the ED team to provide holistic care for patients with serious illnesses.We%u2019ve also focused on improving patient flow and outcomes by collaborating early with case managers to identify alternatives to hospital admission, enhancing hospital capacity and health equity.This year, we celebrated Drs. Jenna Wilkinson and Ryan Bourdon%u2019s promotions to Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine by the University of Minnesota. Their contributions to education and mentorship have impacted the next generation of emergency care providers.Our department continues to grow, offering fellowship opportunities in critical areas such as EMS, Ultrasound, Education, and Hospital Administration/Leadership (HALM).
