Brittany fondly reminisces about her experiences at the University of Minnesota, highlighting the homecoming activities and winning the MN Royal contest with a creative skit. The vibrancy of campus life, coupled with the scenic walks across the Washington Avenue Bridge, left a mark on her college years.
The University of Minnesota equipped Brittany with invaluable skills that have significantly impacted her professional journey. The diverse student
groups and classes taught her how to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, a skill she leverages daily in her role in marketing and communications. The strong network provided by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) and the Agricultural Education major has been instrumental in her success.
Brittany’s advice to students echoes her own journey – be curious. Embrace diverse opportunities, build relationships, and seek exposure to different career paths. Understanding both what you enjoy and what you don’t is crucial in shaping a fulfilling career.
“I am so confident in the next
generation of agriculture educators
and communicators.Their intelligence

by professors, alumni, and the
curriculum itself sets students up for
success in the professional arena,”
expresses Brittany.
She believes that the current generation is well-prepared for success, possessing a range of skills that make them stand out in the professional arena.
