Step into the Kathryn A. Martin Library and you get an immediate sense of community space. The library has four floors dedicated to study, including group study rooms, carrels, work tables, and comfortable seating. There’s a space for every personality - the quiet and studious, the conversationalist, the solitary researcher, or the team.

General Borrowing
Browse all of the materials conveniently online from the K.A. Martin Library homepage. Materials not directly available at the UMD library can be obtained through Get It or Interlibrary Loan services.
Digital Resources
The library offers access to over 300 databases that include books, scholarly articles, and media.
Archives and Special Collections
Archives and Special Collections collects, maintains, and provides access to materials that document the history of University of Minnesota Duluth and Northeastern Minnesota. The collec- tions include the Northeastern Minnesota Historical Collections which are on permanent loan from the St. Louis County Historical Society.
UMD History
The UMD Archives collects publica- tions, photographs, memorabilia, and non-current office records of the University of Minnesota Duluth.
