Payment Options
How to Pay Your Student Account Bill
Your student account helps you manage billing and payment of tuition, fees, on-campus housing and certain other campus charges. You will receive a notice in your UMD email account when your billing statement is available online. You will be able to view your charges in your MyU account in mid-August.
• Charging a credit card or debit card for the amount of your payment.
You will be charged a non-refundable service fee if you choose to use a debit or credit card.
• You can easily set up guest payers to make payments on your behalf. Go to your MyU account to authorize a guest payer.
Payment Plan
The payment plan is campus and semester specific. The balance due must be received by the due date to keep your account current, avoid late payment fees, and avoid a hold on
your record (which can prevent you from signing up for classes until it’s resolved.) A $20 charge per semester will be added to your balance when you enroll. For more details, visit z.umn.edu/paymentplanumd.
Submitting Payment from 529 Plan
How 529 plans are structured and how to access funds from the plan varies by state, plan administrator, and the plan itself. Visit onestop.d.umn.edu/finances/ submitting-payment-529-plan for guidance on paying from a 529 plan.
Huntington Bank is UMD’s on-campus banking partner. You can review the many benefits
of banking with Huntington on campus and sign up for an account online at: huntington.com/umd
Paying Your Bill Online
Go to myu.umn.edu and select the My
Finances tab to pay your bill online. Online payments can be made by:
• Paying by eCheck (deducting the amount from your bank savings or checking account). This option is FREE.
