EDUROAM is the WiFi network at the UMN
You will use eduroam on campus and can also connect to it at partner institutions. Sign in to eduroam with
your UMD email credentials (YourInternetID@d.umn.edu + password) to access email, the Bulldog Mobile App and other University resources.
If you live on campus, you can register personal gaming or streaming devices (Xbox, Roku, Apple TV, etc.) on the UofM- IoT wifi network.

Students are provided with a number of technology resources and tools to connect with University information, grades, email, financial information, and much more. Use these pages to familiarize yourself with some of the technology available to you.
MyU
myu.umn.edu
MyU is the official University of Minnesota web portal, personalized for you with tools to help you be successful at UMD. You’ll use MyU to register for classes, access your financial aid, see your grades, learn about resources and events, manage your information, and more.
University Email
Your University-assigned student email account is the university’s official means of communication with all students so
it is important to read your email regularly.
The University uses Google Mail (Gmail) for its email service. Visit mail.umn.edu and sign in with your internet ID and password.

You can change or reset your UMD password and manage your email options at my-account.umn.edu.

Check your email regularly and be sure to set a strong password. You can also configure your phone or mobile device to receive email. Learn how

Enroll in Duo Security
z.umn.edu/DuoSecurity
The UMN requires all current students to use Duo Security (two-factor authen- tication) at the University sign-in page. We recommend setting this up prior to your registration date.

It is important to keep your computers, mobile devices, and data safe, both
