Build your Calendar
As a busy college student you’ll find
it helpful to use time management tools, and your UMN account gives you access to G-Suite, where you can use Google Calendar, Drive, Docs and more.
Google Calendar is a great way to manage your schedule and keep track of events you want to attend, be reminded of things you need to do, etc. Your OAR Advisement & Registration appointment will also show in your Google Calendar so it is important to pay attention to your calendar.
To get started, add your Fall 2024 classes to Google Calendar. After you enroll you can find your class schedule in MyU in the Academics tab.
As you build your calendar, include time for academics, both in and out of the classroom. For each hour in class, you should allow two hours outside class for reviewing notes, reading, homework, writing papers and working on projects.
Check the lists on this page for important dates you’ll want to have on your calendar, and enter them now to start the semester in an organized way.
