Cloverbuds
A Cloverbud is a 4-H member who is in kindergarten through second grade. Cloverbuds explore and learn by doing fun activities, day camps, after school programs and club programs, developed specifically for Cloverbuds. Cloverbud programs are age appropriate, fun, positive, activity-centered and non-competitive.
Consumer education and money management
Before you shop ‘til you drop, learn how to compare prices, spot a good deal and appreciate quality. Explore the difference between wants and needs, and how to save for something really amazing.
Crafts and fine arts
Express yourself, be creative and make an impression! Work with all kinds of materials and create something unique or learn a new technique by following instructions. Learn skills, techniques and tools in drawing, painting, sculpting, printing, fiber arts or graphic design.
Creative writing
Use writing and literature to express yourself in poems, short stories, blogs and more. You can use your imagination and creativity to convey a message, emotions, etc. It isn’t limited to the traditional forms of writing and is completely dependent on your preferences and interests.
Electricity
Electricity is a force of nature. Where does it come from? Can we create it? How can we use it efficiently and safely? Learn about wiring, lighting, safety issues, and more. Build circuits and test voltages.
Engineering design
Develop critical thinking, creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills, and have fun at the same time. Learn engineering design while developing a solution to a problem and building it. You can also join an Engineering Design Challenge team.
Entomology
Insects are beneficial and beautiful. Learn about insects and study their complex world. Make a collection net, pinning block, spreading board or display case. Learn about experiments, research and careers.
Environmental science
Explore the relationships and interactions of plants, animals, humans and their ecosystems through the specific challenges they face and/or solutions they offer.
