              Plant science
Explore the world of crop production including corn, forages, soybeans, specialty crops and more. Opportunities include crop scouting, plant science project bowl, growing and studying how crops grow and career opportunities.
Quilting
Develop basic quilting skills, techniques and tools. Study quilt conservation and exhibiting. Learn how to express your culture, aesthetics and ideas through quilting is a fun adventure.
Safety
Keep yourself safe and help others too. Learn about safety for water, fire, electricity and recreational vehicles (bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet skis, boats, etc.). Identify farm hazards and make them less dangerous.
Science inquiry
What are you curious about? Turn those curiosities into questions and conduct a science investigation! Analyzing and interpreting your results will help answer your questions and develop knowledge and understanding about your topic.
Self determined
Do you have an idea for something you’d like to explore? If it doesn’t fit into any other 4-H project area, no problem! You can still do 4-H project learning. Be your own researcher, scientist, artist, communicator and evaluator.
Shooting sports
Learn important life skills through safe and educational experiences. You’ll explore wildlife and firearms safety. Age and consent requirements apply. Possible areas may include: archery, BB, air, trap, .22, black powder.
Technology
(aquatic robotics, computer, robotics)
Explore the impact of computers and robotics on society and how they make our lives better. Learn to design, build, program and much more. Upgrade a computer, build a website or write computer code. Identify robotic components and operating systems.
Vegetable, fruit and herb gardening
(potatoes)
Grow your own food! You might choose to grow your favorite fruit, herb, potato or vegetable. Explore how to plant, water, fertilize and prune your plant and how to manage weeds, insects and diseases.
