 Exploring animals
Intended as an introductory project for youth who have limited experience with animal science this includes livestock, zoo and exotic animals. This area is a pathway to more in depth study of the animal. Animal ownership is not required. Explore care of, consumer issues and more.
Fishing sports
Learn about identifying fish, exploring habitat, experiment with fishing gear, baits and lures. You can investigate fishing regulations and careers in the fishing industry.
Foods and nutrition
(food, nutrition, food preservation, food revue)
Learn how to plan, select, prepare and serve a variety of foods and snacks. Investigate nutrition and discover the science behind making food and keeping it safe. Explore careers related to food and nutrition.
Forest resources
Plant a tree and chances are it will be there long after you’re gone. Learn about the layers of a forest, how to identify different trees, how forests change and why trees are a breath of fresh air for cities.
Geology
Rocks, minerals and water make up our earth. In this project, make collections of rocks, minerals and fossils and discover their uses in our world.
Global connections
Discover language, family traditions, culture, global connectedness and genealogy. Global citizenship is as close by as your local grocery store, library, highway or high school. Discover how you can make a difference in your community and your world.
Health and wellness
Study health issues or ideas associated with health and wellness. Connect fitness, motion and athletics to a healthy lifestyle. Explore careers in the health industry.
Home environment
