  Fellowships
Education Fellowship
The HealthPartners/Regions Hospital Education Fellowship is a 1-2 year fellowship with focus on preparing leaders in medical education. A focused fellowship curriculum is created based on the fellow’s future interests, with options including simulation, program administration, curriculum development, bedside teaching
or program evaluation. Our fellows also work clinically at Regions Hospital as well as in our Valley hospital locations. Dr. Jacy O’Keefe and Dr. Graci Gorman graduated from the one-year version of the fellowship in June 2023.

Toxicology Fellowship
The Regions Hospital Clinical Toxicology Service and Medical Toxicology Fellowship
is a joint venture between HealthPartners/ Regions Hospital and the Minnesota Poison Control System. We continue to strive to provide education to fellows, residents and students. These learners are why we do what we do, and we look forward to continued work with them. This year the fellowship graduated Dr. Ryan Fuchs in July 2023, and welcomed Drs. Annika Strand and Amar Chakraborty. In the fall we matched two new fellows for the next incoming class; they will be the 28th and 29th fellows.
EMS Fellowship
Regions Hospital EMS has offered a one- year EMS fellowship since 2010, allowing graduates to sit for the board certification exam in EMS offered by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kari Haley (’16) is the current fellowship director. The goal of our fellowship is to educate EMS physician leaders in the best clinical practices in the prehospital environment as well as provide exposure to learners to both the education and administrative aspects of EMS medical direction. Our fellowship includes an extensive scene response element with response vehicle availability to the fellow. Our fellow acts as an integral part of our medical direction team and has ample opportunities to work with EMS providers. Our fellowship also offers a variety of other prehospital opportunities including event medicine, access to tactical and rescue experience and an optional helicopter EMS component. We work closely with the EM residency and offer teaching opportunities to both residents and paramedics.
