Welcome to UMD Health Services! We are your healthcare home
away from home, providing a comprehensive health and wellness facility designed to meet the health care needs of today’s college students.
Being Healthy
The mission of UMD Health Services is to help students develop healthy personal lifestyles and to provide the services necessary to support academic success.
Medical Services
You can come to the on-campus clinic for medical services for which you might otherwise go to your family practice clinic.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses are available for medical appointments (218-726-8155).
Health Education
Health education and wellness programs are provided for students of the
UMD campus community. The health education staff support professional public health internships, student graphic artist employment, and an
active student group that make an impact on the UMD campus through peer health education and project initiatives (SHAC).
Counseling services
Mental health issues can have a profound impact on you and your success, leading to poor academic performance, impaired interpersonal relationships, and lower graduation rates.
UMD Health Services provides
free and confidential counseling appointments (218-726-7913), drop in counseling (“Let’s Talk”), grief support, and a group designed to address procrastination and productivity called “Get it Done.”
